We Had A Bucket Filling Kind of Day!

We had a terrific day! I started spelling words with the class. We started with one group of words for everyone, so that they can get used to how we are going to do this. We will start individual lists next week. They have written their spelling words in their agendas. The words this week are focused on the feature of the beginning /b/ and /m/ sound. Please help your child review his/her spelling words for a couple of minutes each night.

We also started reading in leveld readers on Raz Kids today! I will be sending home log-in information tomorrow! Happy Reading  -  on the CORRECT level!!! :-)

We had a blast in reading today! We talked about writing a story about going on a journey. We pulled our companion (main character) out of our story sack. We talked about the setting, and then answered the 5W's and H using our story sacks! For homework tonight, your child is supposed to talk about his/her own journey and answer the 5W's and H!  We will be starting our writing process tomorrow!
