In class today, we talked about "LOVE." I asked the kids to answer the question, "What is love?" Most of the kids wanted to use the word love in their answers, but had a hard time with breaking it down to the exact meaning. After a little while, we got two really great answers:

Addi: "Love is when you really like somebody."
Savannah: "Love is when you care about somebody."

We discussed that love is a feeling. Unlike feeling happy, sad, or excited, it is hard to show you love someone with facial expressions. We discussed how we can express love by expanding on things you do for people you like and care about.

After we discussed the meaning of love, we made a Heart Shaped Bubble Map to organize our thougths about who and what we love.

Tomorrow, we will use our Bubble Maps by taking information out of the hears (the word they wrote for what or who they love), and use it in sentences! How exciting it is to learn how to write a Valentine to your Mom, Daddy, Nana, MeMe, etc!!!

In the mean time: I LOVE TEACHING KIDS!!!
